The first beginning...

Shade was first founded long time ago in Berlin as a simple duet of two friends, Chris Rennier and Timur Liebscher. At the beginning the music was just created with a voice and a piano. Later on a drummer and a guitar player joined the band. After some Gigs they had to agree, that they couldn't take the same way together anymore...

The new start...

Shade was rebuilt later on in the nineties by Chris Rennier. At that time the band existed with Sepp Hermann, guitar - Olaf Seifert, bass - Chris Rennier, keys - and right back, Timur Liebscher on the microphone.

1998 Iris joined the band as a second voice and as did the violin-player called Harald.

The open development...

Shade played in 1999 and 2000 at the WGT in Leipzig, displaying their own concerts including lectures "Wer ist Was ?". Shade published the first MP-CD "frühes Morgenrot" with selfproduced songs and some live-recordings, including a lecture with Eckart Schulz. Some shows followed together with the Dead Freddys, Ikon, Schwarz and Jetane Demone...

Shade were still searching for a new second guitar player. The technician Marcus Pawlig joined the musicians of Shade as 2nd guitar-player.

Shade started the recordings of the MP-CD called "procurer", it was published without a label in 2001. A new drummer called Dennis joined Shade. Felix the 1st guitar player at this time added more rock attitudes to the band. The music of Shade of Shambles grew into a wide collection of different influences of many genres. The new formation gave the band more power and rhythm on live gigs than ever before. 

Shade had to learn that finding a label with this kind of music is difficult.

The recordings of the third CD called "promo recast zero" began. Shade played on some festivals and together with a lot of bands. In 2005 Shade released the third production on her own without any label or management. Meanwhile the guitarplayer had changed for the third time.

In 2010 Shade has set up an acoustic project called "Shade acoustic". Here they still work on a new acoustic release called "another view". The members decided to transform some songs into a new acoustic music style. It was planned to go on tour with this new album, but after the unexpected death of the pianoplayer, and the leaving of the guitarplayer, the band needed a break.

After this break Shade decided to work on the next album called "closed doors". They spent 2 years and a lot of money to produce this album on their own. During that time

Jürgen joined Shade as guitarplayer.

Shade of Shambles is now well-prepaired to present her new album.  

We are the shade, the shade of all shambles.

The shambles are the areas of our souls, that lie down in debris. We depict them in a lyrical and musical way.

We try to describe the souls, those parts of our souls that lie in ruins, the way they are. We do not want to proclaim wisdom, we want to raise questions to inspire people to think them over. We illuminate minds and souls and build up the shade in a musical way. With our lyrics and music we want to raise awareness for all things and situations that got lost in our hectic society.
